Public Sunflower and Farm Days

We host public sunflower days annually over summer. Check our social for Summer 2026 dates. Each year we nominate a few charities to come in and collect donations for sunflowers. Our gates are open on these special days from 9am - 1pm and each stem is a $2 donation to the charity collecting at the gate.

For School and Community Groups

We opened our farm to the public in 2020, to give families a chance to experience a working farm, with over 300 tickets sold to our first farm day event and chatting to parents, we have decided to open our farm to School groups.

Our working farm is filled with chicken, geese, cows, goats, sheep, horses, pig, ponies and more! This experience is perfect for pre-kindy through to year 3.

Kids will enjoy an interactive day out with a map provided on entry and a bag of feed; your group will be set to explore the property feeding the animals along the way. Lloyd will be on hand to answer questions the kids have, and all groups will get to a ride in a farm cart across the paddocks.

Yabbaloumba Retreat is not a petting zoo, but a self-guided experience led by teachers or parent helpers. After feeding the animals and enjoying a cart ride, your school group will be provided with a sausage sizzle and popper, along with complimentary yard games suitable for children of all ages.

For part of the year we are able to arrange bottle feeding animals with staff for some children to participate in.

We welcome school groups of up to 150 students per session, feel free to chat with us if you have larger groups.
